Alberta Identification Program
Identification Program - All eligible applicants will meet with the ID Coordinator to review documents required to obtain their basic Alberta identification. Once sufficient documentation is obtained, the client and coordinator will then meet to discuss funding options for the ID and complete the process at registries. The coordinator works collaboratively with Alberta Human Services to assist the individuals in obtaining their ID.
In order for a client to participate in this program they must meet the following criteria:
- Be 18 +
- Be a resident of Alberta for at least three months
- Be homeless or recently housed
Services provided by the Alberta ID program include:
- Obtaining original documentation
- If required, assistance with ID payment
- Assistance with Birth Certificate application
- Assistance with Alberta Health Card application
- Assistance with proof of Canadian Residency
